The introduction gives an overview of the special feature of the International Forestry Review (IFR) focused on forestry and gender. It summarizes that the review draws from a wide variety of contexts in Africa, Asia and Latin America, papers that explore the gendered dimensions of diverse topics from multiple empirical perspectives. Overall, papers in this special issue on gender and forests confirm existing findings such as forest management, use and access are connected to gender roles but they also challenge them. Autoría:
